2009 Annual Meeting

Kit Carson Electric (KCEC) is proud to announce the success of another annual meeting. On June 13, 2009, approximately 822 members registered at the meeting; exceeding the required quorum of 672 needed to host the meeting. The annual meeting is a good time for old friends, family members and long-time members to come together and visit with one another; and is a good opportunity to learn about, and sign up to participate in KCEC’s Green Power program, have questions answered regarding co-op concerns and learn about the products and services that are available at the co-op. Awards and recognitions were presented to selected participants of the Scholarship program, the Government In Action Youth Tour program and the Coloring Contest. Door prizes were given to all registrants, drawings were held for BBQ Grills; and a grand prize of $1,000. Congratulations to all selected winners of the drawings; and a special congratulation to Adonias Gonzales Jr. from Penasco who was the winner of the $1,000 grand prize. A children’s program hosted approximately 78 children while parents attended the meeting. Children were entertained with games, safety presentations, face paintings, and were given prizes to take home.
