Today was an exciting day as we celebrated the groundbreaking of the new additional solar and battery facility in Amalia, NM. KCEC would like to express its gratitude to Guzman Energy, RCCLA, Luminace, state and federal representatives, and the members who joined us for this special occasion. The theme for Earth Day 2025 is “OUR POWER, OUR PLANET,” which encourages everyone to unite to promote renewable energy efforts to triple clean electricity by 2030. KCEC supports this initiative by incorporating more renewable resources into its portfolio, achieving 100% daytime solar energy, and progressing toward 100% renewable energy overall! The new solar and battery facility will feature an 8.75 MW solar array along with 8.75 MW / 17.5 MWh of battery storage.
