Dear Members,
Kit Carson Electric Cooperative (KCEC) is issuing a High Wind Alert for all areas within our service territory for today and tomorrow.
Forecasts indicate wind gusts up to 60 mph, creating conditions that significantly increase the risk of wildfires and potential power outages.
We urge all members to take the following precautions:
- Use extreme caution with any activity that could spark a fire
- Avoid open burning or operating equipment that may create sparks
- Secure loose outdoor items that could become hazardous in high winds
- Stay clear of downed power lines and report them immediately
KCEC crews are on alert and prepared to respond as needed. Safety remains our top priority
for both our members and our personnel.
