Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, Inc. (KCEC) received a complaint that our billing system had been hacked. Member stated unauthorized payment was made to their account via echeck. All KCEC’s billing systems (Electric, Internet and Propane) have been operating properly and with all security protocols in place. KCEC’s billing system has not been hacked. If you have unauthorized charges to your electric account or have questions regarding if your account has been compromised, please contact our customer service department and your banking institution to determine if your individual checking account information has been compromised.
