SCAM targets members of Kit Carson Electric Cooperative Inc.
Kit Carson Electric Cooperative was notified that an unidentified individual called certain KCEC members from the phone 800-508-6930 informing the member that a payment needed to be made on their account immediately. The unidentified individual stated that if they did not pay the amount; their electric service would be disconnected for nonpayment of a security deposit.
This is a SCAM! We urge our members to contact our Customer Service Department for questions regarding electric service; or visit us at our main office which is located at 118 Cruz Alta Road; Taos, NM 87571.
