Dear Members
The Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fires have crossed into the Carson National Forest and continue to burn rapidly. Evacuation statuses continue to be updated for communities within and affecting the forest in Taos and Colfax counties. In accordance with wildfire emergency management officials, KCEC has de-energized lines from Sipapu to the Mora/Taos County border. Members should expect and prepare for future power outages to safely work with these entities in dangerous fire areas. We will continue to keep you updated.
