2025 KIT CARSON ELECTRIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION (KCEEF)
SCHOLARSHIP FUND
A one-time scholarship available to High School seniors, $750.00 to be paid to the
recipient at the start of the Fall semester and $750.00 to be paid to the recipient at the start of
Spring semester if recipient maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Eligibility
- Available to qualified students who attend either a public or private school, and
whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) are members of Kit Carson Electric Cooperative,
Inc., or receive service from Kit Carson Internet or Kit Carson Propane, and reside
within the service area of the Cooperative. A “public or private school” includes a
public, charter, Christian or parochial school, or a student who has successfully
completed a home-school program. - Scholarships are to be granted to full time students who attend a recognized and
accredited institution of higher education to include Trade and Vocational Schools for
example: Legal Assistant, Welder, Solar Installer, Carpenter, Pilot, Mason, Marine
technician, Electrician, Commercial Driver, Automotive Mechanic, Plumber, Licensed
Practical Nurse. - Applicant must be of good character as evidenced by at least one (1) letter of
recommendation from teachers, principals, counselors, etc. from the schools they are
currently attending. - Applicant must make his/her arrangements for a transcript of school record to be
provided to the Kit Carson Electric Education Foundation, Inc. - Applicant must complete KCEEF Scholarship Application Form. The application can be
completed on KCEC’s website. - Applications must be postmarked no later than April 11, 2025. If any of the
documentation requested is not provided by the deadline date your application will
be denied. Awards will be announced within thirty (30) days of the deadline date. - Scholarship recipients must provide an original class schedule from the college or
school they will be attending at the start of the Fall semester to Brianna Trujillo,
Executive Secretary of Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, Inc. for verification, before
monies will be disbursed. At the start of the Spring semester, scholarship recipients
must provide an original class schedule from the college or school they will be
attending and proof of current GPA, before monies will be disbursed.
