Kit Carson Electric Education Foundation Awards $45,000 in Scholarships to Local High School Graduates in its Service Territory
Taos, New Mexico – The Kit Carson Electric Education Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Kit Carson Electric Cooperative (KCEC), has awarded $45,000 in scholarships to 31 local high school graduates of the class of 2024. The Foundation leverages scholarship dollars provided by KCEC’s wholesale power provider Guzman Energy.
Kit Carson Propane awarded $3,000 to three student recipients pursuing education in the vocational trades.
Scholarship recipients had applied and demonstrated plans to continue their education and workforce training beyond their high school accomplishments. Recipients of the 2024 Kit Carson Electric Education Foundation Scholarships are:

Scholarships are one way we can show our support and help students succeed,” said Luis A. Since 1997, the KCEC Foundation has awarded more than $695,000 in scholarship funds to students throughout its territory, providing financial assistance to students pursuing advanced education and training.
